Trash Light Vision is a result. The result of days in Berlin visiting cemeteries, listening to Berlin era Iggy; trips to London DJing at rock clubs all night, going to the Damien Hirst exhibit by day; and spending nights in New Orleans looking for magic. The result of taking the world in and writing. The result of the vision of vocalist/guitarist Acey Slade.

Acey came back home to NYC and tried to make sense of it all and what he found was a blend of punk, hard rock and eclectic shards of various other styles of music with the focus on electrifying, catchy songs.

Acey explains that 'Trash Light Vision’ can be taken however you want – as a glimpse though the “trash” in the world, a way of combining sleaze with culture to invent your own ideals. Trash Light Vision mixes diverse musical influences from Refused and Ramones to David Bowie and Guns and Roses and lyrical content from isolation to world commercialization.

The diversity in the musical influences of Trash Light Vision can be drawn back to Acey’s beginnings; being born in a small town about 1 hour outside of Philadelphia and having had his first taste of performing in the Church choir at the age of 8. Following that Acey met his new best friend, rock ‘n’ roll, and never turned back. From playing in local Philly bands to side work in National Acts touring the US opening for everyone from Kid Rock to Slipknot, Acey opened the door to his creativity and a path to self discovery.

Along that path he found a friend in Slipknot drummer Joey Joridson and the two bonded over their love of Motley Crue, Hanoi Rocks, Sex Pistols and the Misfits. Joey invited Acey to join the Murderdolls, a band he had started, that embodied the true grit and excitement of the bands they grew up loving. On 4 days notice Acey was given an airline ticket and 20 songs to learn before the start of a massive 1 1/2 year world tour. Taking the Murderdolls from New Zeland to Croatia and all points between and putting their faces in every major rock magazine across the world, even gracing the cover of Rolling Stone in Australia. After an extremely successful 2003, The Murderdolls topped every readers poll from Circus to Kerrang, being hailed among other things, as ‘The Best Live Act’. 2004 found the Murderdolls on hold while Jordison fulfills his obligation to Slipknot.

The Murderdolls hiatus has allowed Acey to take his creativity to new places, to Trash Light Vision. "It's kind of wierd how things work out. If the Murderdolls were not on hold I never would have started Trash Light Vision, but I'm real happy to be singing again and being the creative visionary behind something."
