Album news

"Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying, and the Dead" has a tentative release date set for March 15th on Roadrunner Records. The album was produced by Wednesday 13 and mixed by Colin Richardson (Machine Head, Fear Factory, Slipknot). The band will be flying out to Los Angeles next week for a photo session with Paul Brown (Marilyn Manson, Murderdolls, Devildriver), who will be handling the layout of the album.

Tour news

The Japanese shows in January have unfortunately been postponed, with no rescheduled dates as of yet. The label, and the promoters want to wait until the new album is out before Wednesday returns to Japan. Wednesday commented on the situation by saying:

My apologies to the ghouls of Japan. The dates will be rescheduled and I will be coming back there as soon as the record is out. Even though it sucks that we've had to postpone the dates, I promise that the rescheduled shows will be bigger, better and more exciting than they would have been in January. See ya soon and stay ghoul!!!!

Trick or Treat Ghouls - Meet the King and Queen of Halloween

The day of the dead is here, and I hope your all having a great Horror-day!!! This is without a doubt my favorite time of the year (duh??). The "Look What The Bats Dragged In" tour starts this week, and I hope to see all of you ghouls and creeps at the "horror" shows. It should be a real ghoul-time, as we will be keeping Halloween alive for an extra 3 weeks. I will be doing a tour diary this time around for my favorite website Metal Sludge, the entries will also be posted here at Wednesday13.com as well.

Also listen for a couple of the new tunes being played at the shows from my upcoming album Transylvania 90210 - Songs of Death, Dying, and the Dead. Be sure to check back here at the gravesite this week to hear an MP3 of one of those songs.

Congratulations to the winners of the "King and Queen of Halloween" contest, you ghouls rule!!!

Transylvania 90210

Los Angeles, CA - Wednesday 13, of Murderdolls fame, has signed to Roadrunner Records as a solo artist and will be unleashing TRANSYLVANIA 90210 – SONGS OF DEATH, DYING AND THE DEAD on the label in early 2005. The band, currently comprised of Wednesday on vocals/guitar, Ghastly on drums, Kid Kid on bass and Pig on guitar will begin touring in short order in the UK. They plan to storm the US sometime in early 2005.

Wednesday 13's new album reaches new heights in Horror-Core. "I'm really happy that Roadrunner has decided to get behind me on this record,” says Wednesday. “I think after the Murderdolls album we now have a better idea of how to push this release. This album is just a natural progression for me. Does it sound like Murderdolls or (Wednesday's pre-Murderdolls band) Frankenstein Drag Queens? Yes, and No. I did some things different from how Murderdolls would,, but its still the same voice. And I hate when people use the word mature, in describing how they have progressed from one album to the other. I'm still just the same guy obsessed with horror movies, cartoons, and death.”

TRACK LISTING - TRANSYLVANIA 90210 – SONGS OF DEATH, DYING AND THE DEAD
1. Post Mortem Boredom
2. Look What The Bats Dragged In
3. I Walked With A Zombie
4. Haunt Me
5. God Is A Lie
6. I Want You...Dead
7. The Ghost Of Vincent Price
8. Rot For Me
9. Transylvania 90210
10. Elect Death For President
11. Bad Things
12. House By The Cemetery
13. A Bullet Named Christ

Of the tracks on the new album, Wednesday adds “There are a few surprises that the fans won't expect... The title TRANSYLVANIA 90210 – SONGS OF DEATH, DYING AND THE DEAD comes from the idea of what I think a Wednesday 13 TV show would be like, it's like each song is an episode." Tune in in 2005!

[Taken from wednesday13.com, July 9th 2004]

Greetings Ghouls!!! I will be coming back from the grave again this summer and bringing my horrifying sing a longs to all of you live. I have some US dates in the works and the "Look What the Bats Dragged In" UK/Euro tour is coming this November, check out the tour dates for all the action. If that wasn't enough, I will be heading to Japan in January and there is also the possibility of Australia conjoined with it, keep your fingers crossed.

However, 'Death Becomes You' will not be joining me as my backing band on these dates. The reasoning why they will not be joining me is not anything bad nor personal. I never said that DBY would be with me permanently. They were only my backing band for the "Graveyard A Go-Go Tour," and with hopes that we could continue on future shows, but I never made any promises. I will be doing a lot more live shows than I originally planned throughout 2004-2005, as well as recording my solo album, and I wanted to assemble a permanent band. DBY and I are 12 hours apart, which makes rehearsing extremely difficult. I wish there was an easy solution to this, but we are just too far apart to make things work on a full time basis and the fact that DBY is their priority. I would need the commitment of DBY full time and that would mean they would have to put their band on hold and relocate to North Carolina. This is something I would never ask them to do. Also, I'm not working on a big budget and I am funding everything myself. Take Murderdolls for example: Murderdolls would have never happened if Roadrunner Records wasn't footing the bill on traveling expenses, because we all lived in different states. Death Becomes You did a great job on the "Graveyard A Go-Go Tour" and I'm glad you all got to discover their band. I hope you will keep supporting them.

As for the new Wednesday 13 line up? I have assembled a new cast of ghouls, some good friends locally here in my town. These guys will be playing on my solo record and joining me on the upcoming live shows as well. I have began working with the plastic haired, plastic faced 'Ikky' formerly of FDQ. Kid Kid on Bass, formerly Lead Vocalist and creator of Lunatic Candy Kreep. Completing the line up is Ghastly on the Drums, a stitched up cadaver that you will surely 'die' for. The first show with the new line up will be in the US in August, see the tour dates for more info. Expect a different show altogether than the last time around. A different set list, a different look, and I've got a few new tricks up my sleeve...so look out.

I will be entering the studio in two weeks to begin recording my solo record. I have got some great tunes written for the album and I promise that you will not be disappointed.

"6 years, 6 feet Under The Influence" is available now in Japan (RoadRunner Records/People Like You) and Europe (People Like You Records). So get out of your coffin and get your hands on a copy today!!!! I know I keep saying it, but the US release is coming soon... I promise. Keep your eyes peeled in the upcoming months for features on the release in all your favorite rock magazines.

Also on a sad note, unfortunately there will be no more 'Full Metal Jack Off' columns in Metal Hammer. It was great while it lasted, but it's over now. I hope you all got to know me a little better through that and I will miss writing that every month.

That's it for Now Ghouls, Beware and Take S-care.

The Napoleon Blownaparts team up with Murderdolls bassist Eric Griffin to shock/rock the 80's. Front man Ajax enters the studio with Eric Griffin (bassist of The Murderdolls) to record a cover of the 80's power ballad No Body's Fool. The song originally recorded by the 80's hair metal band Cinderella is to be released as part of a tribute to 80's power ballads. Ajax confirms the song will be done in true Blownaparts style and the kids will not be disappointed. Watch for an official press release soon.

Here is the latest news from Planet 13....

Wednesday has just completed work on the forthcoming FDQ '6 Years, 6 Feet Under the Influence' album. This album was in the process of being recorded when Wednesday joined the Murderdolls. The recording was put on hold and has since been lying in the crypt on Planet 13. During the past few months Wednesday dusted off the reels and finished what he started in 2002 and now the record is complete. "6 Years, 6 Feet Under The Influence" is re-recordings of his favorite songs from all four albums including five never before heard tracks from the final era of FDQ. It is currently scheduled for an early 2004 worldwide release.

Speaking of hitting the road on his own, Wednesday 13 has the following to say:

"A lot of questions have been coming in, asking what I will be doing at these shows. I will not be modeling clothing, I will not be doing stand up comedy, unless you consider the music I've made in the past comedy, and no other members of the MURDERDOLLS will be performing with me. I will however be playing songs from the entire FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS history, as well as a few surprises. I have the Florida-based graverockers DEATH BECOMES YOU as my backing band. These guys are a bunch of gruesome ghouls and these shows are sure to be a visual hand-grenade of horror. Murderdolls shall be playing two dates in California next week. And Mr 13 himself shall be playing some US dates later in the month, to promote The Thirteen Dead Kids.

more details

Thursday, 8th January, 2004

So, still no pics of Acey's new 'do' to report, but word has it that photos shall be released around the 15th of this month. SarahDope describes it as like Billy from Good Charlotte's but a little longer at the front. Yummy! Eric has also changed his hair, although don't panic, it looks more or less the same, except all black.

Exciting news! Wednesday 13 and Mrs 13 are launching a merchanise company! The Thirteen Dead Kids, featuring, yes you guessed it(!) thirteen dead kids, including the likes of Morgue Anna and Dead Lee. Merchandise looks set to include the likes of t-shirts, stickers and the sort, in the horrorful colours of red and black, of course. A must for any Murderdolls fan!

Also, look out for Wednesday 13 on tour in the UK in March! More details coming soon.

Wednesday, 7th January, 2004

So the 'faithful' board went down over Christmas and New Year! Imagine my shock when I finally get a chance to get online and check my Ghouls, and the board is gone! *cries* But not to fear, it's just been moved to here.

Tuesday, 16th December, 2003

Acey Slade has a change of hair. He's gotten rid of the dreadlocks *shocked face* Pics coming soon.

Tuesday, 18th November, 2003

While Joey is still in the studio with Slipknot, there is not much news at the moment about Murderdolls.

Most recent is probably that they had to cancel their Halloween show in California, supporting Danzig, because of the fires in the area.
